I focus on family travel because travel has such a profound effect on my own family. Growing up, both of my parents had busy, demanding jobs, and our special family trips gave us the precious time we needed to really bond—away from all of life’s daily distractions.
In fact, I come from a big family, with siblings who are more than a decade older than myself. But I’m able to call them my best friends today because of the trips we took together back then. Whether it was skiing in Aspen or sunbathing in the Bahamas, they’d come home from their college breaks and adventure somewhere new with me—bringing us closer with every plane trip!
As a busy new mom myself, I know what it’s like to deeply crave connection with your family … but have no idea how you’re going to make it happen. Whether you're still at the stage of harried school drop offs and sports teams, or your “littles” are all grown up and off to college (or beyond!), a travel experience is the one thing that can slow life down and bring you all together.
